EasiYo Cheese

Yoghurt cheese is formed by draining the yoghurt to draw off the whey. In the Middle East this white cheese is extremely popular as an appetiser or breakfast dish garnished with olive oil, alone or in a combination with spices and herbs such as paprika, mint, dill, chives or mustard seeds.

Yoghurt cheese is a versatile and healthy substitute for cream cheese and cottage cheese.

  • 1kg of EasiYo Natural Yoghurt

Place the yoghurt in a sieve lined with cheesecloth over a bowl. Once drained to the desired consistancy (about 8-10 hours), squeeze yoghurt cheese in the cloth to remove any more whey. Place into a container and chill until you are ready to eat.

If you dont have a cheesecloth, you can use a coffee filter or several sheets of kitchen roll.
